Notes: Alva Noto is Carsten Nicolai, He is a member of the music groups Signal and Cyclo. by looping oscillators and tone generators pure electricity is made audible. He works without sequencers, but mathematically edits his work to precise rhythmic structures. Ryuichi Sakamoto has been makin music under various guises since the 70s, is famous for his film scores as well as his many collaborations with electronic artists, this album is their 5th release together, also worth checking is Cendre, made with Fennesz and released on the touch label in 2007.

Notes: Amanda Feery is a musicmaker based in Dublin, where she recently completed an M.Phil in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity College, Dublin. Her work has been performed in Ireland, the U.K. and Holland by groups such as Ensemble ICC, members of Crash Ensemble, Orkest de Ereprijs, Royal Irish Academy Percussion Ensemble and Dublin Guitar Quartet. for violin, cello, bass clarinet/Bb clarinet, trombone, elec. guitar distortion pedal, piano,drumkit, and 5.1 surround sound electronics. The acoustic part of the work explores some unconventional playing techniques. The electronics were made from samples of cymbals, singing bowls, speaker feedback, bottles, bicycle chains, and piano strings.
